ContiTech Vibration Control strikes a positive CeMAT balance
July 2008It grabbed most of the attention at Continental and ContiTech’s joint 200-square-metre booth at CEMAT: a model of an active vibration-control system. „With this test rig, we were able to show the trade public for the first time the working principle behind our forward-looking active vibration isolation system.” says Jens Hoffmann, branch manager for industrial vehicles at ContiTech Vibration Control. The model exemplifies how disruptive vibrations can be neutralized by means of targeted generation of counter-vibrations so as to reduce the total vibration-related stress for both the driver and the vehicle.
The motto for ContiTech's showing at the international trade show for intralogistics was “Your premium partner for smart solutions”. It was a claim shared by customers and visitors. “CeMAT went very well for us," declared Hofmann. "We were able to welcome many trade visitors at our booth and conducted very far-reaching talks."
